Description
This is a new and improved version of my triple helix chainmail with improved printability and more fluid motion. Very satisfying to handle. Works well at 100 percent scale or larger. I've scaled down to 80 percent with good results, haven't tried further.
Comes with two varieties (capped and uncapped) in two sizes each, with single link test prints to test without excess waste. Both versions can be printed in either the orientation of the stl or flipped.
There is also a tile size to fill up any print bed you would like, it just takes careful alignment in the slicer. If you split the tile into objects, you can delete individual links and make any shape you like.
Good bed adhesion is required. Printing the capped version with the triangles down can help with bed adhesion. When printing at original or smaller size, take care in removing from the build plate. The small surface area of each link means they don't like to pop off the build plate with simple flexing, so a scraper might be necessary.
