Description

I followed this tutorial on you tube for fusion 360, no affiliation but if anyone's interested click this run on sentence.

However, I did make some deviations~

I've deleted the negative spaces in the pegs for better printability, and same for the inner pillars in exchanges for more material contact.

As long ago in my earlier days attempting to print a Lego I had the issue where the inner rings would snap off and break, which I now know is due to the low amount of contact so this model isn't going to accept center pegs/unipeg blocks, but under normal usage should snap with similar blocks, I haven't tested this with branded bricks, but it did fit with my kid's generic bricks, so I'm assuming it will fit.

RE: Printing:
- Dynamic Quality/0.16mm layer lines/0.4mm nozzle.

- 3 walls

- Enable Bridging.

- Infill as you see fit.

-Adhesion [8 lines +/-]

Material: Would reccomend PETG/ABS however, I tested it with some transparent PLA, and it seemed to work no problem, I personally did 205c on the hot-end, I think 65 on the print bed as I like to run a teensy bit hotter than the standard profiles of cura and it works flawlessly on the creality ender-3 SE v3, not even enclosed lol.

As I continue with these tutorials I plan to upload here to share my result, hopefully inspire others to do the same, up till now I've been using simpler tools like meshmixer in my early days, and later Womp, but I don't believe it'll land me a job haha.

Also can I take a moment to highlight the hypocrisy of the Lego Company's behavior in the 3d print community, like I can understand protecting IP but the fact that it's a stolen design in the first place make them shutting down websites/libraries that feature printable blocks, like I don't think it would hurt their market that much, considering there's already existing knockoff's available in the market and around the world that are also lego compatible, so it's like a slap to the face of the makers and creators around the world, when they stole the design from the start.

That's all I wanted to complain about lol, cheers.
