Description

This is a Pokemon Coin holder designed to hold the coins that are occasionally released in conjunction with the Pokemon Trading Card Game. It is designed to hold either the Regular (~30 mm diameter) coins that were released worldwide before 2013 and in Asian countries currently, or the Large (~34.2mm diameter) coins that can be found in the West currently.

It has a roughly 20cmX20cm storage area, and can hold up to twelve removable holders. Each individual holder can contain either 17 Regular coins or 19 Large coins, depending on which version it is, for a maximum of 204 Large coins or 228 Regular coins at max capacity.

To keep the coins safe from damage, they are loosely held by the holders in order to prevent scratching from being inserted and removed, but when closed, are gently pressed down by a sheet of 2mm craft foam to prevent them from rattling around and getting damaged that way.

Here's a link to some coins you can print yourself to help fill it up! https://www.printables.com/@CarlThePumpkinMan/collections/206564

Parts List

As for printable parts, there is a 3mf included that already has everything sorted out, but:

The models have been split into 3 parts; the CoinCase (containing the Top, Bottom, and 2 Latches), the RegularCoinHolders (containing twelve holders designed to hold the Regular Size Coins), and the LargeCoinHolders (containing twelve holders designed to hold the Large Size Coins). Both can be found in STL and in STEP form.

The Top and Bottom can be printed with a filament swap part way through to give it a Poke Ball-esque middle band. I have printed the Top in red and the Bottom in white with a black filament swap to make it look like a Poke Ball, and I’ve also done both in white with a swap to red to make it look like a Premier Ball. With both, I printed out white latches to mirror the color of the button that can be found on both the Poke and the Premier Ball.

The case can hold up to 12 removable holders. The LargeCoinHolders file contains 12 holders that can contain only Large coins, and the RegularCoinHolders file contains 12 holders that can contain only Regular coins. Feel free to split the models up into individual holders in order to print them in different colors, or mix and match Large and Regular coin holders.

You also need some approximately 2 mm thick craft foam to put on the inner face of the Top to protect the coins.
