Warning: Possible Choking Hazard.  With models like this, there should always be caution before giving this to a small child.  A small piece like this could be a choking hazard to someone who isn't old enough for this toy.

Why did I design an arrow tile?  I want to design special moving (secret) walls and doors into play houses for my toddler, and the arrow tile will give him a clue that the part moves.  I also wanted to design tiles face down so that I can take advantage of those fancy textured plates you see online.  Haven't you ever wanted a hologram tile?  I do.

I designed two versions of a tile piece using a parametric design in TinkerCAD Codeblocks.  After a few revisions, I am come up with a couple tile pieces that hold relatively well without being too tight or too loose, so hopefully my Bambu A1 gives print results similar to what your printer does.

My main model, the arrow tile, uses a very slight difference in layer height so that if you have a special textured tile there will be a texture around the arrow, but the slightly recessed arrow will lack that texture, so even a  single color print can have an arrow tile.  Due to the bridging this design requires, a multicolor (AMS or MMU) version of this print will not have 100% coloring within the arrow – it will instead look more painted on – see my photo above.  But this does mean you can two a two color print using two filament swaps just before the last layer if you like to do that kind of thing.  The edge of your tile would have a single stripe around in it in the arrow layer, but that is not necessarily a bad thing, depending on what you want to accomplish.

The other model is a plate printed top down so that you can have a “smooth” tile that takes on the texture of any special plate you choose to print with.  I'm not sure if you like those hologram or carbon fiber-looking special print plates, but this model should work well with those.

I have done a lot of rambling.  Have fun!  I hope you enjoy these models!

Update:  I have included two more tile designs to choose from – one is a star and the other is a heart.  I have also included some gcode files for people who would prefer those to the actual model.
