D6 Puzzle Box

This is a puzzle box that I created in the shape of a D6 or standard die. It's a fairly simple puzzle box, but the first step to open it is well hidden. The steps to open it are as follows (The 1 side must be facing up to make sense of the other directions). To open it you must push in the bottom right dot on the 3 side and the bottom left dot on the 4 side at the same time. This will allow you to slide the 5 side down slightly. Which frees the 1 side to slide out completely, giving you access to what's inside. It can hold up to 5 sets of dice, but it will become harder to open and close. It can obviously hold other things, but I liked the idea of storing my dice in a puzzle box in the shape of a D6 so that's what I'll use it for. I hope you enjoy.

This is a model that requires precision while printing. The tolerances are between 0.15 and 0.2 mm throughout. You will need 1 Front, Top, & Frame pieces, 2 Lock pieces, and 19 Dot pieces. I recommend printing the Front and Top pieces vertically for better quality, as well as printing the Lock pieces with the side that will be pointed inward in the box to be facing downward on the bed. One of the Lock pieces will also need to be mirrored in your slicer so they will fit in their respective slots. When assembling, you will need to slide the 5 piece into position, opposite of the 2, starting from the 6, and sliding toward where the 1 will be. Then super glue the back of the Lock pieces and slide them in so they will be in their slots, have its peg in the slot in the 5 piece, and the button sticking out of their side of the box. Once that is dry you can simply slide the 1 piece in its slot. Then all of the Dots can be placed and glued in all of the spots. And that's it
