Update 28.08.2025 Made a pistol saber modification for a friend and decided to just push it as an update. You can find the modified parts in a seperate folder in the downloads section. Front and Back halves are still crosscompatible with the regular calypso, so if you dont like the dagger grip but want a bayonet, you can combine it like that.
Make sure you print one additional Pin II for the rear half and three additional PinIII for the front half
Also print the prop blade from TPU please, itll be safer this way.
A pirate inspired blaster, but not a straight replica! Has a little hammer that moves depending on if the blaster is primed.
Operation:
Pull the Ramrod from the front
Push the ramrod down the barrel until the hammer goes up and you hear a little click
Push a dart into the barrel using the ramrod until you feel resistance (DON'T PUSH TOO FAR)
Put the ramrod back into its slot
Fire and repeat
Got a jam? Push out the Pins that hold the reinforcement bars in the rear and prime the blaster manually by pulling the ramrod back.
Don't have a printer? Visit https://bearswares.shop/products/calypso-by-leedledynamics to buy a prebuilt version. (I get a cut from each sale)
Overview:
Single shot with a ramrod reload, great for larp players or people who are bored with regular fast reloads
High performance (up to 130fps) despite a compact design
Every gasket and seal and the propulsion is made from string and silicone oil and a rubber band, no additional hardware required
Optionally use a dash 115 size oring and the alternate files in the root of the zip folder to use an oring instead of string to save you the string gauge guesswork
Adjustable performance, just tie the string differently
Printing and hardware:
180mm³ Printer needed
A small kitchen rubberband, the square ones not the flat ones. You need that for the hammer return (blaster works fine without, it just looks cool)
4mm elastic string required (this stuff), like 2 meters depending on how many loops you want and how many tries it takes you to make a gasket
Print the plungerhead, sear, plungerrod, reinforcements and trigger with 5 wall loops
