Description
Wrap two to three layers of e-tape around the narrower rear section of the BCAR and insert it into the shroud.
(Do not use too much e-tape, so that the BCAR can be easily pushed out of the shroud again at some point if needed)Additionally, an approximately 2mm thick O-ring can be attached to the front of the BCAR groove for additional support.
--- The O-ring is optional and not absolutely required. The BCAR cover also stays in place well with just the E-tape. ---With the Barrel_Color_Sleeve, you can easily customize the barrel color to your liking.
Simply slide it loosely over the barrel, and it's held in place by the BCAR.
The length is adjusted to fit the stock barrel.
However, it can easily be scaled in your slicer to a desired length if you use a different barrel.
The extended BCAR shroud (shown in my pictures) slightly protrudes at the back and visually conceals the transition between the barrel, sleeve and the BCAR and it covers nicely the rear edge of the BCAR.
Update 15.8.2025:
Added some greeblies to the BCAR shroud
Update 18.8.2025:
Added a shorter version of the BCAR shroud with the same length as the BCAR (without protruding at the back) ----> for barrel shrouds / handguards that are filled inside and don't have a hollow space (e.g. Leedle's barrel shroud is filled inside)
[---- The barrel shroud shown in the pictures is the Terrier handguard by LoneWolf052 ----]

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
~ 25g of filament for the BCAR Shroud
~ 10g for the Barrel Sleeve
The files are already pre-oriented.
My print settings for PLA:
0,2mm layer height
3-4 walls
7 top and bottom shell layers
20% gyroid infill
No supports needed
brim recommendet for the Barrel_Color_Sleeve
(If your slicer does not create a straight Z-seam, you should manually draw it for aesthetic reasons)
Thanks to Sillybutts for the file I could use for this remix.
