This is a Paw Patrol inspired bike light I made for my kids. It is powered by a Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32C3 microcontroller which has an integrated Lipo Charger.
The following parts are additionally needed:
- Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32C3 Tiny (https://eckstein-shop.de/Seeed-Studio-XIAO-ESP32C3-Tiny-MCU-Board-with-Wi-Fi-and-BLE)
- LED Ring with 24x 5050 RGB LEDs White WS2812 (https://eckstein-shop.de/LED-Ring-with-24x-5050-RGB-LEDs-Weiss)
- LiPo battery Lithium-Ion Polymer 3,7V 500mAh with JST-PHR-2 Stecker LP503035 (https://eckstein-shop.de/LiPo-Akku-Lithium-Ion-Polymer-Batterie-37V-500mAh-mit-JST-PHR-2-Stecker-LP503035)
- a toggle button (body 8x8x8 mm)
- some wires
- some m3 screws
- Print the parts in your preffered color
- Clue the Logo to the top part (ensure orientation)
- Wire everything together
- Adapt, compile and flash the firmware (https://github.com/mapero/esp32-paw-patrol-bike-light) and test it
- Clue in the Xiao and the toggle switch
- Connect the battery
- Screw everything together with the m3 screws
- Install the mount with some zip tie to the bike
Note: For charging the battery over usb-c, the light must be switched on.
