Works in PLA using 0.15 mm layer height with structural settings. For a smooth finish on the outer rim, enable ironing.
I modeled this part as good as my skill set allows to copy the original design.
Printing notes
The back side can be tricky because it has many small corners and holes. I recommend enabling organic supports with the following custom settings:
- Top contact Z distance: 0.2 → Gap between support and model; larger = easier removal, smaller = cleaner underside.
- Pattern spacing: 3 → Distance between support lines; higher = weaker, easier to break off.
- Top interface layers: 2 → Layers between support and model; more = smoother surface, harder removal.
- Don’t support bridges: ✓ → Skips supports under bridges; bridging algorithm usually handles them fine.
- Preferred branch angle: 35° → Angle of support branches; higher = wider spread, easier to detach.
- Branch diameter: 1.5 mm → Thickness of small branches; thinner = easier removal.
- Branch diameter with double walls: 3 mm → Thickness of stronger branches; balances strength and removability.
