Display Base for Transformers AotP Star Optimus Prime

With the largest of the Primes amongst us now - it's time to do up the display base for Star Optimus Prime!

Of similar design to the earlier bases, this version has to be upsized a whole lot to accommodate the gargantuan bot which Star Optimus Prime is!

Our default favorite top logo box variant, as usual, is the one which lights the clear blue logo from behind. This is done using a 26mm LED light circuit mounted in the back plate. But any similar light up circuit which you can put in there should work equally well. The front logo piece was printed in transparent PLA, and then given a few coats of clear blue spray paint.

The larger size of this set allowed us to design the logobox with removeable logo pieces - so this should make it easier to swap between a clear logo and a solid white one if you choose.

An alternative back features a prime master sized slot, so if you have the Thirteenth Prime handy, he will fit right in there!

Due to the height of the stem this time, it had to be done in two halves and so we've also added inner pegs and an external brace piece to help keep things square and secure.

And lastly as before, the base of the pedestal does open up to reveal a storage space for parts and accessories to be stowed away safely!
