Working toy scale

Working spring scale for toy kitchen. Uses up to 3 pen springs

Print settings:
Material PLA
infil 5-10% (for pinion gear 20% or more)
walls 2-3
supports enabled (I used auto, organic)
 

Assembly guide:

Insert pinion gear: 
Place the pinion gear into the hole in the base. Make sure it rotates freely

Add springs:
Insert up to 3 pen springs into the provided sockets in the base

Mount the dial:
Position the dial on the front of the scale
Glue the pointer securely to the pinion gear

Install rack gear:
Slide the rack gear onto its guide pin so it meshes properly with the pinion gear

Add cover and plate:
Place the cover over the mechanism
Finally, attach the weighing plate on top

Note: The resistance of the scale depends on the number and type of pen springs used, as well as the tolerances of your 3D printer.
