Nintendo Chain Chomp Rattle

Based on Nintendo's Chain Chomp, this rattle is a great addition to any toy collection. Kids love it! The easy-to-grab cage on the back and the chain make it especially great for smaller children learning to grab and play. There's even a green shell on the inside that adds to the Nintendo theme and makes the toy even more enjoyable.

Printing instructions:
Profile includes several different plates. Most parts require glue for assembly. I used .2mm layers for most parts.

Face. Print as is, PLA or PETG recommended. Minimal supports required. Overture PETG Black.

Teeth and bottom half of turtle shell. Bambulabs PLA White.

Eyes. Color swap at layer 21 (manual pause to change pupil to black; layer depends on layer thickness). Bambulabs PLA White, then Black.

Mouth. Again, minimal supports. Bambulabs PLA Red

Top half of turtle shell. Thanks @monkeyzav for the shell model. He's got the original on his page (maker world) if you want it. Tough to print, use lots of support and/or brims to get it to stick to the build plate. I used a negative part to hollow it out. Bambulabs PLA Bamboo Green.

Cage. Some supports required, I strongly recommend PETG for this piece!! It's stronger and a bit more flexible than PLA and will not break nearly as easily if dropped. I used Overture Transparent PETG.

Assembly is straightforward. I recommend gluing on small parts (eyes, teeth) first, then gluing big chunks together after they have dried. For even more rattling fun, I put several bells inside the green shell (the reason why I hollowed it out in the first place).

I recommend JB Weld Plastic Bonder. My rattle has survived rough play and drops from several meters. I suspect the plastic would break before the joints failed. I have not tested superglue, but I would guess that it would not perform as well. Works very well with PLA and PETG.
