Skybound Damanged Arm for Transformers AotP Superion

Out of the pages of the finale battle in the Skybound comics, here's an addon kit to re-create Superion's damaged arm look!

Utilizing a similarly designed connector piece, the entire setup slots onto Superion's shoulder where Slingshot used to be.

For the option of a little more dynamism, we've added a 5mm port into the centre of the piece, allowing for effect parts to be added on!

And while Superion isn't exactly able to do a mid air jump pose, here he is trying his best as he joins the fray!

=== Assembly===

The included diagram shows the three parts which make up this kit.

Post-printing, there is a bit of work required to heat form the originally flat pieces into their final shapes.

With the wraparound piece, you can immerse it into a shallow container filled with recently boiled water to soften the plastic. Here we are using PLA, so temperatures of slighly under 90C would do the trick nicely.

You might opt to use gloves or some other heat protection here too, and once the piece has softened, you use the connector piece to get a sense of the size you need to wrap this piece around.

Once it has been sort of wrapped around into a "crown" like look, you can dip the tips again into some hot water and then try to bend the tips of the piece outwards. It's useful to try keeping the base end of this piece out of the heat so that it doesn't try to uncurl itself.

For the Base piece, it is easier to just dip it in hot water to slightly bend the tips upwards.

Once both pieces have been formed to your liking, you can simply superglue everything together and paint things!
