Description

A model of a race/track day Cybertruck, featuring a wide body kit, front splitter, rear diffuser, rear wing, aero skirt, and deep dish rims, segmented into easy to print parts with free rolling wheels. The model requires multiple #4 x 3/8" pan head screws (or 4G x 9mm sheet metal screws), and two Chupa Chup plastic sticks for use as axles. I can't make the claim that this body shape is an original idea, but when I saw the pics, I had to have something similar in my collection.

SAFETY WARNING: THIS MODEL IS NOT FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN - SMALLER PARTS MAY BREAK OFF AND BECOME A CHOKING HAZARD. THIS MODEL DOES NOT COMPLY WITH TOY SAFETY STANDARDS!!!!

● Easy to print parts - no supports required

● Designed with colour breaks. Print parts in different colours on single colour printers for a more interesting look.

● Requires multiple #4 x 3/8" pan head screws (or 4G x 9mm sheet metal screws), and two Chupa Chups sticks cut to 60mm for the axles

● In addition to the necessary screwdriver, and cutting blade for the Chupa Chup stick, having some small files can be helpful

The part orientation for printing as per upload is correct. Some parts require a small amount of bridging while printing, though they'll still print well enough without supports. Interconnecting part fit may be tight, depending on the plastics used, or the printer/slicer settings. The tolerances on the tyre/hub combo are important. The hub is intended to be a tight fit onto the Chupa Chup stick, and the tyre needs to also be a tight fit on the wheel. Printing and scaling one tyre/hub combo until the sizing is correct for the axle (before committing to printing the other wheels/tyres) is recommended.

Multiple #4 x 3/8" or 4G x 9mm sheet metal screws are used to join parts throughout the model. All but two are hidden when the buggy is complete. Assembly of the model parts in the correct part order is necessary, though it is a bit of a puzzle that you will need to figure out yourself :) With correctly sized parts, no glue is necessary, allowing for part replacement if any should be required. Often the joining of the chassis assembly to the body assembly takes careful, yet firm pressing to get the parts to mate, which makes assembly less suited to younger builders.

Additionally, the parts bodyside and wheelarch need to be both mirrored and printed

This vehicle also uses the same #4 x 3/8" or 4G x 9mm pan head screw size featured across my other models, so if you have any left over from another build, here's a chance to use a few more of them up! And finally, if you like the model enough to print it, please consider taking a pic or two, and posting a make. I like those!

Note: Each grid square in the build pics are 1cm
