Description
Another mashup of community models, this time to resemble a Warhammer 40K Plasma Gun. Mostly a rescaling and reworking of an existing model, with a shroud around the magwell added to look like a hydrogen cell, because I didn't think a plasma gun should look like it was magazine fed.
Requires a variety of M3 bolts to hold it together. Two M3x10 and a M3x12 holding the front on, three M3x8 holding the back on, and two M3x10 holding the magwell on. I think the magwell might be a little more secure if you used M4x10 instead.
The intention of the barrel is to be a one-shot replacement for the stock barrel, in two stages. First stage is long enough to get the performance to 130FPS, appropriate for LARP. Second stage adds a little rifling. Prints well in Bambu Studio on my P1S angled at 45 degrees; diagonal layering will likely improve strength.
The Coil piece is intended to be printed in translucent TPU, and I'm not sure if you'll be able to manoeuvre into place without it being flexible. It's held in place with the pin piece. There's intended to be space inside to rig up some lighting, and I've left channels in the middle section in case you want to run wires to a switch on the side.
I've linked to the stock I've used in my origins, but I've not made any changes, nor am I reposting the files here; go to the original page if you want to use them!
As with my previous Bolter and Lasgun designs, I've crudely mashed this up with Tinkercad, apologies for any mess! The Front End particularly is a mess of non-manifold edges, but it doesn't seem to bother the slicer any.
