Description
Unable to drop the eye-watering amount for that exquisite Soundwave statue, we were resigned to the next best thing of creating a stand-in for the SS86 Soundwave (which we could afford).
Strangely, we also couldn't exactly place the source of this but was probably in the episode where the Decepticons went to look for the lost Mandela after nicking it from Megatron, or something to that effect. But it has to be canon so here we go.
In the spirit of things, we attempted to recreate the incredible details which are testament to the depth of care and passion in its making, by a long-standing group of artisans. The parts had to be given a luscious thick coat of metallic blue to really make the look pop. Some paint dripping in places and missed painted parts on the back are also homages to the acme of utmost care and unparalleled effort which the statue embodied. Pay no heed to the missed paint bit on the back, it was an artisanal touch.
(But no, we shalln't be subjecting Soundwave to the same metallic paint treatment.)
And just for a final closer look, here are the parts on their own. The back bit clips onto Soundwave's should and the front barrel is held in his hand, as all cannon barrels are held.
All in, a paradigm shifting combination of heritage and innovation.

Anyway, hope this would be a fun and weird addon for your collection. Happy 3d printing! =)
