Hey everyone. Here is a marble roller coaster I have been working on. It is easy to print, build and play with! Pieces can be printed without supports and clicked into place to make a track for your marble to glide down.
Types of pieces:
- Connector. These are placed on the ground to provide a structure for the other pieces to snap onto.
- Start. A downward-sloping piece that directs the marble down its path.
- Finish. The endpoint that catches the marble.
- Track. A flat piece that guides the marble in either a straight path, veers the marble in a new direction, or turns the marble back in the other direction.
- Drop. An angled piece designed to accelerate the marble down its path. There are 2 types of drops: straight and veer.
- Raiser. These pieces allow the marble coaster to build upwards. Other pieces, such as the track or drop, can be clicked on top of the raiser.
- Tunnel. The tunnel is similar to the raiser since it allows the marble coaster to build upwards. Tunnels have the option of using the track that crosses through the piece. Supports are not required for the tunnel.
- Combine. This piece combines two tracks into a single path. It is a fun way to race marbles from different starting points and see which finishes first.
My marble roller coaster is a work in progress with new features to be added in the future. So please, if you have any suggestions or complaints on how to improve it, I will be happy to hear your thoughts.
