Description
This is the most complete, easy to print, truthful to original and customizable set of duplo compatible tracks you will find. You can even create your own versions by customizing my onshape model here. (various angles, lengths and sleeper count)
Default slicer settings on 0.2mm layer will do, but to save fillament I suggest in Prusa slicer to set
This results in a nice, rigid and light model. If you perfer more structural integrity, feel free to add a perimeter, but the infill in this model is just waste of material.
If you want the original size, go for straight track of length 8 bricks and curve of 30deg arc and radius of 18 bricks.
If you want to experiment, you can select from various lengths of straight tracks, various curved tracks of the original radius of 18 bricks, or a tight loop of radius 12 bricks - but note the tight can be passed only by train with no carriages - train with carriages gets stuck.
If you want crossroads, then I present you with 60deg crossroad in length of 8 bricks, and 90deg crossroad in “standard” length of 8 bricks and a tighter crossroad with length of mere 6 bricks.
Why is this model the best of all?
Other models had various flaws. This set has ugly-looking conenctors, and sharp edges on crossroads. This crossroads set lacks connectors from the bottom and uses too much material, the same here. This one looks like it can be connected to other bricks, but the overhang is too low so it cannot. 🤦
My model addressses all of these issues. 🤞
