Kaman K-Max Kit Card

The Kaman K-MAX is a unique, single-seat helicopter designed primarily for heavy-lift operations. Introduced in the 1990s, it features an unusual intermeshing rotor system, which allows it to lift impressive loads with exceptional stability and precision. The K-MAX is widely used in logging, firefighting, construction, and cargo transport, especially in areas where traditional aircraft cannot easily operate. Its efficiency, reliability, and ability to carry more weight than its own empty mass make it one of the most remarkable helicopters in its class.

Printing Info

There are two versions you can print, one and without a sprue. If you have problems with the rotating rotors or you dont like it, there is also a fixed version under “seperate”. You can also print all parts seperatly. Happy printing!

Building Info

When you print the not-fixed version, the rotor might be stuck initially. Attach it to the fuselage and then wiggle carefully back and forth till its loose. If you have problems with bending the rotor mounts, you might carefully warm them up and then bend it (like the winglets of my other plane models). Also if you have problems interting the gear strut, try pressing it against a hard surface/corner until it sits flat.
