Description
These are tested, I'm just too lazy to take photos
It's merely “Close enough.” I'm just here to design funny big trains anyone can make, not rivet-counter-delight.
I recommend printing in PETG or ABS for durability. PLA will warp if left or even used outside! (Ask me how I know) Besides, this specific model has several compliant mechanisms & needs that flexibility.
There are two versions, loose/tight - Depending on your printer's tolerances, the coupler jaw & body could fuse together, and that's no bueno. TL;DR, try the tight coupler, if that don't work, use the loose coupler
Whatever screws you use to mount couplers to your rolling stock - I use leftover Kadee #4 x 3/4" Screws
Optionally, you can add some springs to the jaw, but I've found it un-necessary.
It's an extremely simple model, break the jaw loose, slip it in a box & affix to engine. That easy!
Designed to take the place of a Kadee 830/930 centre-set body-mount coupler
The shank-less versions are compatible with all of my models post-June 2025, along with most Cookies & Grenades locomotives. Just something to keep in mind!
Nothing else worth saying, it's a simple coupler.
