Description
I wanted to redesign the well-known game to make it travel-friendly, as most of the existing versions were simply a little too big. Inspired by the domino boxes of my childhood, the new box has a sliding lid, is small (229x61x33,5mm) and well stowable.
The oldest version I found was by Bhorian, so thanks a lot for the idea!
After some intense test games with my girlfriend, we decided that the game does not need more than 4 pieces per type. Changing the surface on which the base is set changes the difficulty of the game - for us the easiest was on a table cloth, the hardest on the lid of the box.
Also i tried several different versions of the base to change the center of gravity and finally used the pattern of tetris pieces to make it seem as if it balanced on one point.
The inside of the box may look a bit chaotic but after trying different versions this is the most compact version i found. I put in small tiles on the bottom to make the placement of the pieces easy.
In one colour run you can print the 4 tetris pieces, 16 tiles (for the box) and the dice inlay.
MMU is not necessary! The tiles for the bottom of the box and the inlay for the dice will be glued in.
After some experiments with dices, I recommend 100% fill-in for the dice because haptics and rolling results are best with that option.
For the box, 10-15% infill are completely enough.
