Description
Gravitus, a monstrous black hole from the enemy System Samitus Alpha, has broken free of its orbit to destroy. Drawn by a hunger older than time itself, it drifts relentlessly toward your beloved home: Spartatus. You know the fight is hopeless — but hopeless fights are the ones that define legends.
Spartatus cannot flee.
Spartatus cannot strike back.
All that stands between the planet and annihilation are the Columns of Resistance: imperfect, mismatched supports forced into the wounds beneath Gravitus, holding its crushing mass just far enough from the ground.
This is not a game about winning.
It is a game about holding back — long enough so that enough can flee, enough can survive, and enough can one day settle in a new home.
Gravitus, the living catastrophe. Fierce and unyielding, yet calculating and cruel, Gravitus tests the structure relentlessly, sensing weakness and exploiting imbalance. He does not attack at random — he strikes where resistance is weakest.
You are Spartacun, guardian of a dying world. You decide where to place strength, where to risk weakness, and when to sacrifice stability for survival. Every column placed is a promise — and every promise may break.
The Columns of Resistance are relics of Spartatus itself: shattered towers, collapsed space-elevators, ancient bridges, and compressed city spines. Each column differs in thickness, strength, and fit.
Beneath Gravitus, shifting cavities open and close. Some holes accept thick columns easily; others barely tolerate the thinnest support. No configuration is ever permanent. As Gravitus descends, pressure increases, holes deform, and previously stable supports may become fatal liabilities.
Spartacun chooses how to place the columns of resistance.
Choose wisely.
In Duel of Balance, two or more players have to build a resistance against Gravitus as fast as possible.
Setup
Choose a fixed number of Columns of Resistance for both players.
Gameplay
Build a structure which supports the colossal Gravitus
Winning Condition
The player whose structure is built up fastest.
In Asymmetric Fate, players have to build a structure in certain timeframe with as little columns as possible.
Build Phase
Spartacun builds a structure beneath Gravitus using Columns of Resistance.
Winning Condition
You have the lowest count of columns and they stand with Gravitus longer than 5 seconds.
Each turn, the strain grows.
Each movement could be the last.
Removing or shifting a single column may cascade into disaster. Stability is temporary. Balance is an illusion. Time itself becomes the resource Spartacun fights for.
Every second Spartatus survives is a victory.
Hold the monster back — as long as you can.
Defy gravity.
Defy inevitability.
Because when Gravitus finally touches the ground…
And yet, if you held long enough,
its people will remember.
Print Gravitus face upwards.
(Support) Style: Grid.
Overhang threshold: 15 °
Infill (my preference): 15%
Infill: 100 % (for maximum resistance against Gravitus)
If you want to print upside down use the CUT Tool in Prusaslicer for planar footing.
Gravitus has to be modified to look more fearsome
Overall Printability (no supports) must be improved
