Description

A standing hedgehog toy with stackable round “fruit” pieces that you place on its spines so the hedgehog stays upright and other pieces don’t fall. Model is printed lying down with a convex outer surface simulating the hedgehog’s spines — no supports required.

Included files

  • Hedgehog body (STL)

  • 3 fruit models (STL) — different shapes/sizes

  • Notes: fruit files are easy to duplicate/scale in your slicer

Key features

  • No supports required for printing (model designed to print lying on its convex side)

  • Simple play: stack round pieces on the hedgehog’s spines

  • Customizable number and size of fruits

  • Ready-to-finish surface for painting or smoothing

  • Educational: balance, counting, and fine motor skills

Recommended print settings

  • Material: PLA (recommended) or PETG

  • Filament: 1.75 mm

  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm

  • Layer height: 0.12–0.20 mm

  • Infill: 10–25%

  • Walls (perimeters): 2–3

  • Top/bottom layers: 3–5

  • Supports: not required

Assembly & usage

  • Print the hedgehog lying with the convex side outward

  • Stack fruit pieces directly onto the spines — no assembly required.

Safety

  • Not suitable for children under 3 years — small parts present a choking hazard.

Customization & options

  • Duplicate fruit STL to increase quantity.

  • Scale pieces for larger, toddler-safe variants.
