Description

This is an enhanced version of the classic fidget cube. I have modified the design to include internal pockets for 48 magnets, giving the cube a tactile, snappy feel that makes it much more satisfying to play with.

Features

  • Tactile Snap: The magnets provide a crisp "click" and help the cube hold its shape in different positions.

  • Hidden Design: The magnets are inserted during the printing process, making them completely invisible and secure.

  • Optimized Fit: Designed specifically for standard 6x3mm neodymium magnets.

Hardware Required

  • 48x Neodymium Magnets (6x3mm)

Assembly & Printing Instructions

To ensure the cube functions correctly, you must pay close attention to the magnetic polarity and the multiple print pauses.

  1. Five Print Pauses: Because the holes are at different heights, you need to set 5 separate pauses in your slicer to insert all 48 magnets. Check your slicer preview to find the exact layers where the holes are about to be closed.

  2. Check Polarity: Follow the provided reference image carefully. The magnets must alternate between North (+) and South (-) as shown in the diagram. Tip: Use a marker to label your magnets before inserting them.

  3. Insert Magnets: During each pause, drop the magnets into the open slots. Ensure they are seated flat so the nozzle doesn't hit them when the print resumes.

  4. No Support Needed: The internal cavities are designed to be bridged, so you don't need supports inside the magnet holes.
