Description
The Dart Speed Storage Dock (DSS Dock) locks in and aligns the Dart Speed Loader magazine and the DSS Low Hardware or Semi-Automatic Shell for quick reloading. As this is a tool, you don't need to print many of these to make full use of the Speed Loading System! When reloading the magazine:
Insert the magazine into the hole side of the Dock.
Take off the cap at the bottom of the shell.
Hold the Dock magazine side up and slide it into the opposite side of the Dock making sure to align the tab to the cut-in on the hilt.
Refill by holding onto the plunger handles and push the darts into the magazine, you should see the dart alignment puck exit the top.
Flip the Dock magazine side down and press the buttons to release.
Once your magazine is secured, retract the plunger back into the shell and slide it out of the Dock.
When reloading the shell:
Hold the shell hilt-side up with the tip of the plunger slightly below the opening.
Pull the plunger down as you load the darts, make sure you reload the correct amount.
After reloading the darts, insert the puck then close the shell with the cap.
The print files contain large, flat models that could warp without proper environment controls. If your printer is not enclosed you can remedy this with a large container wrapped by insulating tarps and a space heater pointed towards the printer.
I recommend printing this piece at a different layer height then your shell hilts to avoid catching as you slide the shell in. If the shell is hard to insert then try filing down the layer lines on the Dock then, if absolutely needed, the shell hilt.
