Description
A unique blend of stitched doll and machine.
The Patchwork Automaton combines cute chibi proportions with dark sci-fi aesthetics. One half of the character features a stitched fabric doll design with visible seams and a button eye, while the other half reveals a detailed mechanical skull with exposed cybernetic components.
The strong contrast between “handmade” and “cybernetic” makes this model a real eye-catcher for display shelves, desks, or collections.
The base is fully integrated, providing stability and a clean presentation right out of the printer.
Recommended printing method:
Resin (SLA/DLP/MSLA) for maximum detail
FDM possible at 0.2 mm layer height or finer
Supports:
Supports recommended under arms, weapon, and chin
Integrated base typically does not require additional supports
Scaling:
Ideal as a 10–15 cm display figure
Easily scalable (keep detail loss in mind at very small sizes)
Fabric side: Matte finish with subtle texture effect
Mechanical side: Metallic paints with washes & weathering
Stitches: Contrasting color for extra depth
Button eye: Gloss varnish for a realistic look
If you like the model, I’d really appreciate a ❤, comment, or a Make!
Happy printing & painting!
