Description

Luigi from the Nintendo Gigaleak! The model has been enhanced to include many posable joints, friction fit pieces, and a storage piece for alternate parts!

Fun fact, I was one of the first people to assemble Luigi's model when the Gigaleak was happening and there was a Discord that was sharing around files and discoveries, got to see the realization happen before news sources got to post it! If you've seen this render below, that's what i posted minutes after getting it!

This Luigi print is actually taken straight from that 2020 render cause its really hard to find this model directly online without extracting it out of a mod or downloading the whole Gigaleak.

Print Help

  • Model is meant to be printed at scale provided, printing larger or smaller may require tweaking parts.

  • All parts were test printed at 0.2mm layer height and 10% infill on a Prusa Core ONE.

  • Various pieces use clips to make bending joints. These will require a bit of force to apply.

  • Some parts require very tight friction fits (the 3 eye layers), its expected to be printed on a decent precision printer. The eye layers should be aligned and pressed in with some pliers- may require arranging which colors are pressed in first or reprinting if any get deformed from the pressure.

  • The sign lettering, for accuracy, should have a color swap performed so the base is dark gray and the top text is light gray.

  • While some pieces are friction fit, others will require to be glued in.

  • Be aware the Knee Clip pieces can be clipped in the wrong way. If your knees and hips are very offset just flip it around!

  • Keep track of which pieces are for the right and left halves of the body! Pieces look almost symmetrical but are not.

  • Most of the parts can be printed with 0 supports, only ones that require are the Pelvis and both Arm variants.

  • Every piece has a flat area to reorient to. Keep in mind the top of the hat is flat, the regular arms have the backs as flat (if orientation isn't clear, ensure the peg slit is facing vertically like the picture below.
