Blockbuster Video Model Set - 1:64 Scale Diorama

Before the internet and streaming services, there was Blockbuster, a place you could go to and rent out movies and video games. Some of my favorite memories as a kid was going to Blockbuster with the family on a Friday night to find something new to bring home. 

Blockbuster stores were located everywhere (at least here in the Chicago suburbs), and most had the iconic blue awnings and yellow logo. The stores were found in strip malls or they were their own standalone buildings. Inside the stores were aisles of movies, tv shows, video games, and movie snacks. 

For my design, the Blockbuster store will be a part of a new Strip Mall Series that I created. The Strip Mall will consist of 5 buildings, and the Blockbuster will be one end of the strip mall featuring a large entrance door and window, brick building, and the blue logo awnings. 

• The awnings press fit into the building body

• I used super glue for the door/windows

• I included a “STORE CLOSING” sign which is optional and can be added with hot glue

• The roof was printed standing upright as that was the easiest way to remove the supports

• Assembly guide is included. List of filaments used is listed in the assembly guide

• 3mf file was created in Bambu Studio. Printing done on Bambu Lab printers.

I've been doing some test printing on the other buildings, and when everything is put together, the entire model set looks awesome! It has been so much fun bringing this strip mall concept to life, and I can't wait to share the rest of the models. Stay tuned as I plan to release the next model very soon!
