UNION PACIFIC BIG BOY STEAM LOCOMOTIVE

Detailed reproduction of the most iconic and powerful locomotive in history.

In this highly detailed model all the mechanics are working, the pistons with their control valves move as do the wheels and their crank mechanism.

The model is particularly complex and detailed as it is made up of over 300 individual parts.

The various pieces were printed in 0.1 layer thicknesses for the smaller pieces and 0.15 for the larger pieces.

For assembly, you'll need glue to join the pieces, eight M2.5 countersunk screws, and twice as many nuts.

You'll also need 1mm diameter metallic wire to join some pieces.

If you send me your email address I can send you the complete stl file with the whole locomotive assembled (unfortunately the file exceeds the size limit of the files that can be uploaded on the site).

Little tip, to make the 4 crank mechanisms, I recommend you make one first, check that it works correctly and if everything is fine, you can repeat the assembly in series on the other three.

To assemble the locomotive, I recommend first making the rear chassis, then the boiler, after that installing all the steam pipes and only finally the front part of the chassis.
