Play Dough Stamp Kit

I designed this magnetic stamp kit with interchangeable textures.

I focused mainly on sensory variety, visual recognition, and the storytelling potential of the patterns. The standard stamps in the kit feature simple textures, most created from SVG images. I aimed to keep the layout as simple as possible, so the community can easily create new textures.

The handle tip has a screw-on cap, with a small flat tab inside that can be used to mark or cut play dough.

One side of the plates has a shallow recessed area with the texture shape for identification, while the actual raised texture faces inward toward the case.

Print with pauses to insert magnets. The handle and case use 6mm magnets. Interchangeable plates can be printed without internal holes and fitted with magnetic tape, or printed with holes to use 4mm diameter magnets.

I’m working on a simple Python script to convert texture images into plates ready to fit the handle, so stay tuned on my profile!

The case is print-in-place, no supports needed.
