Description

Syncline is a low hardware compact mag holder designed to hold Talon mags. Instead of elastic cords or relying on the flex of the plastic itself, Syncline uses two panels printed out of a rigid material and elastic side and bottom panels out of TPU to provide tension and flex. The mag holder can be rotated and locked in 15 unique angles to best suit your setup, and provides retention even when the mags face downwards. Included are two mount options, one for MOLLE and one for a standard belt. Tested to work with straight Talon mags and similar designs such as the X Shot mags, has not been tested on other mags like angled or Katanas.

Print Settings:
Everything: Use -.1mm horizontal expansion for easier fitment

Front and rear panels require some supports for the slot for the bottom strap, although if you have good cooling it may not be necessary. Print out of PLA or PETG, recommend something with good layer adhesion.

Side Panels and bottom strap MUST be printed out of TPU. The strength of the tension will depend on wall thickness. Tested with 3 walls, 2 will be looser. Tested with common 95A TPU, unsure how other duros will affect function.

Assembly: 

First slot the bottom strap into the grooves of the panels all the way to the end. Keep an eye on direction, you want the insides of the front and back panels to face together when folded up.

Then slot the side panels in one at a time. The side panels are reversible, and you can choose whether or not you want one nub, two nubs, or no nubs to interface with the mag. Two nubs will offer the best retention, although it will be hardest to insert mags. One nub is in between, although that will restrict the direction the mag is inserted so it interfaces with the side with the nub. No nubs is the smoothest for insertion and removal, although retention will not be as strong. The side panels will lock into the front and back panels to prevent it from being pulled out so you will need to press hard until you hear a click.

Finally, slide the clamp lock from the inside into the rear panel, aligning the direction with your desired angle. Finally push on the mount of your choice to the back and secure with the 2 screws.
