Miniature Sandbox Shovel for Sylvanian Families

Overview

Complete your playground set with this simple miniature shovel! Designed to accompany my Miniature Sandbox, this shovel is scaled perfectly for Sylvanian Families (Calico Critters) and other 1:12 scale figures.

It is a quick, 5-minute print that adds a lot of personality to your "outdoor" dioramas.

Printing Instructions

This is a very small part, so focus on detail and bed adhesion:

• Material: Any PLA. Bright colors like Red, Blue, or Green work great to give it that "plastic beach toy" look.

• Layer Height: 0.1mm or 0.15mm is recommended due to the small size, to ensure the handle and blade look smooth.

• Infill: 100% (It’s so small that anything less won't save time, and 100% makes the handle sturdier).

• Supports: None required. It should print cleanly lying flat on the bed.

Pro-Tip

If you have trouble with such a small part sticking to the bed, use a small brim in your slicer settings to ensure it doesn't move during the final layers.
