MAGIC THE GATHERING ADVENT CALENDAR

This came about as an option for my oldest whose out-grown the toy-filled calendars that are out there.

WARNING: I did not design this to account for sleeves. If you are concerned about the collectible value or quality of your cards I would not recommend using this unless you are interested in hand-sanding every piece. Two or maybe three cards can be crammed into one of these card holders.... so there may be hope for sleeves.

You will need to print the following: 1 each of the 24 number caps (included together in a zip file) 1 each of the 24 Magic Logo parts (included in a separate zip file) 2 Center caps 24 Wedgelocks 24 Bases

I am currently printing this. It's going to take a few days. I'll post a make once it's ready. The parts all fit together. My only concern (why I checked Work-In-Progress) is that something is off enough at the end that it won't go together.

EDIT: 10/27/2020 - I have twelve of the base sections printed and about as many of the logo sections done. I tested a snug-fit sleeve over a card and it does squeeze into the slot. It will probably be a couple more days to complete the build at my current rate.

EDIT: 10/28/2020 - I uploaded an image of the half-assembly. I also added two options for a base platform that the wedgelocks can be slid into to stabilize the overall build.

EDIT: 10/30/2020 - Just finished the last pieces. I ran out of orange so no re-dos on the couple base parts I had come out a little off. Overall it works really well. It needs some cleanup, but with very little post-processing the thing went together really well. In hindsight, I'd probably revise it to have the locks run all the way through and make a top and bottom locking plate to make it more rigid. I may or may not get around to that version.
