Description

If you love mechanical feedback, this is for you. This modular fidget toy is designed around a one-directional ratchet system that provides a and satisfying clicking sound when rotated.

The design allows you to choose your favorite interaction style by offering two different heads that fit into the angled base:

The Ratchet Knob: Features a knurled texture for maximum grip. It spins one way with a mechanical "click-click-click" sound.

The Toggle Switch: A smooth, rocker-style button for those who prefer a switching motion.

Key Features:

Mechanical Sound: The internal teeth are optimized for a crisp auditory experience.

One-Way Rotation: Mimics the feel of a real ratchet tool or high-end dial.

Modular Design: The heads are easily interchangeable so you can swap between the dial and the switch.

Desktop Ergonomics: The base is angled at 15 degrees, making it comfortable to use while sitting on your desk.

Print Settings

Material: PLA is recommended for the best "click" sound (PETG can be a bit too soft/quiet).

Layer Height: 0.2mm works great.

Infill: 15\text{-}20\A functional, modular fidget toy designed for a satisfying tactile experience. This 2-in-1 design allows you to easily switch between different configurations or colors.

Features

Modular Design: Interchangeable parts for easy customization.

Tactile Feedback: Provides a crisp, clear clicking sound.

Easy Assembly: A snug fit that stays together without the need for glue.

Print Settings

To get the best mechanical performance and durability, I recommend the following:

Material: PLA for the loudest, sharpest click. PETG if you prefer a bit more flexibility and durability.

Walls: Set to 3 or 4 wall loops. This strengthens the internal spring mechanism more effectively than high infill.

Infill: 15-20% is sufficient when using extra walls.

Supports: Not required; the parts are designed to be print-friendly.

Assembly

Simply slide the components together in the order shown in the images. The tolerances are tight to ensure the toy feels solid during use. If the fit is too tight depending on your printer's calibration, a quick sanding of the internal edges will do the trick.
