Description
Tiny Mix & Match Train is a cute modular 3D printed toy train system designed for endless combinations.
The set includes 4 different locomotive designs:
Standard Locomotive
A classic little train engine with a simple, timeless look.
Snail Locomotive
A fun fantasy-style locomotive with a cute snail face and shell-inspired details.
Teddy Bear Locomotive
A soft and friendly bear-themed engine with a rounded animal face.
Dino Locomotive
A playful dinosaur-inspired locomotive for a more characterful train setup.
Each locomotive has one wagon attached behind it, and the set also includes:
Trolley / Wagon
A regular modular wagon that can be printed as many times as you want.
Pin Connector
A small push-fit connector used to join the locomotive and wagons together.
Ending Wagon
A final wagon piece designed to finish the train neatly.
The main advantage of this model is flexibility. You can print any number of wagons and build a train as short, long, simple, colorful, or crazy as you like. Make a tiny two-piece train, a long rainbow train, or several different trains using the four locomotive styles.
The modules are movable relative to each other, so the train can gently bend and curve during play. The wagons connect using a special printed pin that presses into the dedicated hole. The connection can be separated when needed, but the pin is designed to stay in place during normal play and keeps the whole train looking clean and tidy.
Thanks to the 4 locomotive designs and the possibility of printing unlimited wagons in different colors, this toy can be customized in countless ways. It is great as a small desk toy, colorful collectible, gift, or playful 3D printing project.
Recommended print settings:
Material: PLA / PLA+ recommended
Layer height: 0.16 mm or lower recommended
Supports: Not required when printed at 0.16 mm layer height or lower
Infill: 10–20%
Walls/perimeters: 2–3
Build plate adhesion: Brim optional, useful for small parts or printers with weaker bed adhesion
Orientation: Use the default orientation of the files
Assembly: Connect the locomotives and wagons using the printed pin connector
Scaling: Scaling is possible, but the connector fit may change if scaled too much
Colors: Print each locomotive, wagon, or pin in any color combination you like
For best results, make sure the pin and connector holes are printed cleanly. If the fit is too tight or too loose, adjust flow, horizontal expansion, or scale the pin very slightly depending on your printer.
