Description

This is a printed Brush Buddy from Witch Hat Atelier holding a Diadem Flower. Several non-printed resources and tools are required to complete as pictured. The Diadem flower is to be drilled out and manually attached to the printed flower stem.

Printing the Brush Buddy

Printing the Brush Buddy on an Anycubic Kobra S1 at 150% scale with a 0.16mm layer height took ~5.5hrs and consumed ~165g of filament. White PETG was used for the print.

The recommended filament type for the Brush Buddy model is White PETG or PETG derivatives (such as PETG+, or PETG High-Speed).

Printing the Diadem Flower

Printing the Diadem Flower at 150% scale with a 0.20mm layer height took ~ 1.5hrs and consumed ~47g of filament. Translucent Red PETG was used for the print.

The recommended filament type for the Diadem Flower model is Translucent Red PETG or PETG derivatives (such as PETG+, or PETG High-Speed).

Materials and Tools

Materials and Tools for assembly as presented in the supplied images are as follows:

  • Translucent Red PETG Filament

  • White PETG Filament

  • Tie/Chicken Wire (at desired thickness)

  • Floral Tape (Light and darker colours)

  • Black Duct Tape

  • Superglue

  • Pliers

  • Scissors

Instructions

Instructions for assembly as presented in the supplied images are as follows:

  • After the Diadem Flower print is complete, prepare for assembly by drilling the centre of the base of the flower such that it may attach with some friction to the printed stem of the Brush Buddy.

  • Cut the black duct tape into two circles of your desired size and attach one to each eye of the Brush Buddy.

  • Cut your tie/chicken wire into your desired length and repeat until you have four even pieces.

  • Wrap the printed stem of the Brush Buddy in the darker floral tape and likewise the four tie/chicken wires in the lighter coloured floral tape. The wrap must be tight without tearing the tape. The adhesive on the tape will hold it to the wire.

  • Using pliers, bend the chicken wire into a spiral shape at one end, and an open ended hook at the other end perpendicular to the spiral such that it may attach to the printed stem of the Brush Buddy. Complete this for all four wrapped and cut tie/chicken wires.

  • Attach the wire to the printed stem of the Brush Buddy and close the hook such that it grips to the stem of the Brush Buddy. Leave room for the Diadem Flower print to attach above the wires. Repeat for the remaining wires.

  • Apply superglue to the drilled hole of the Diadem Flower and attach the Diadem Flower to the top of the printed stem of the Brush Buddy.

  • Cut teardrop shapes from the darker floral tape using scissors, and apply superglue to the edge of the cut tape and attach to the top of the printed stem of the Brush Buddy. Repeat as desired to obscure the wrapped wires.

Unfortunately, I am unable to successfully upload .blend files from Blender 5.1.1 to Printables, and as such no Blender files are supplied. Should this change you will find the files attached for your own modifications. I do not claim any responsibility for misuse or otherwise of the supplied files, instructions or the product thereof.
