Description
A display plinth for Marit Lage, the 20/20 black flying indestructible
Avatar token from Magic: The Gathering (created by Dark Depths).
The piece is laid out like a Magic card lying flat — portrait, the
footprint of a real card (≈ 90 × 60 mm) and low (4 mm). Read it like a
card:
MARIT LAGE across the top — the card name.
- A colossal Lovecraftian tentacle sculpt sits centred as the card art —
a writhing eldritch horror (not a horned demon).
- INDESTRUCTIBLE / FLYING in the strip in front of the art.
- A bold 20 / 20 power/toughness on the front vertical wall.
All text is raised (embossed) for a clean multicolour weld.
Both files are ONE STL with five named solids (pedestal · creature · name ·
abilities · pt). In Bambu: Import → right-click → Split to Parts, then
assign a filament per part.
combined — text splits per block MARIT LAGE/
INDESTRUCTIBLE,FLYING/ 20/20). Quickest two-colour.
- chars — text splits per character: one part per glyph, so each letter
colours independently with zero accent bleed in the gaps.
- *pedestal.scad** — full parametric source (the creature is a separate
sculpt fused onto the plinth top).
Print flat, plinth-on-bed, creature up — supportless. The card top is
flat; the front-wall glyphs each bridge under a tiny 0.6 mm ledge. 0.2 mm
layers, 3–4 walls; the wide flat base adheres well.
