Simple Dice Box

A simple box for holding 8 20mm dice.

2025/01/26 UPDATE: The top cover printer tolerance can now be adjusted (0.1 mm and 0.2 mm pre-made STLs now available), and the cover art now properly centers with any number of dice.

Made in OpenSCAD, so it is quite easy to modify this model to suit your needs by changing the base variables at the top of each file:

• border: How thick will the border around the dice be (in millimeters). The default is 2.5 mm.
• cube_size: The size of the dice's single edge (again, in millimeters). The default is 20.5 mm (which allows some clearance of my 20 mm dice).
• cubes_x: The number of dice in the X direction.
• cubes_y: The number of dice in the Y direction. Together with cubes_x, these parameters form the grid for the dice as well as the total dimensions of the final object.

You may also adjust the cover's tol variable to specify your printer's tolerance (0.1 mm default).

With a border of 2.5 mm (which is the default), printing with 3 perimeters is recommended (at least in the top few layers, to make it look nice).

It is recommended to perform a color change on the cover's top layers to make the design pop out.
