Description
This was another one that my daughter requested, and I was only too happy to oblige. They come out a similar size to a Benchy.
A small warning: The tiller is quite a small part of the model, and easily swallowed. So I advise proper adult supervision at all times, and/or leaving out the tiller until the child is old enough to use the toy safely.
The tiller and sail rely on a friction fit, and the tiller can be a little stiff to start with - I didn't want it to just fall out! I found that a tiny drop of olive oil dispensed from a cocktail stick (and some manual manipulation) will get it moving smoothly without falling out.
I printed mine in Sunlu PETG using a standard Bambu 0.16 layer height. It should print OK in PLA, but there may be some scaling necessary on the sail and tiller, as the tolerances are close and were set up for PETG.
And, with that, there's not really much more that can be said aboat (sorry!) the design!
Happy Printing!
