Description
Fits small-sized miniatures (20mm bases or less). Requires glue.
Edits to the original (beyond cutting out the riding portion):
Shrunk to 90%. (Still a bit tall, but not as tall as a riding horse.)
Cleaned up the base, attached back feet.
Cut it in half, so the support scars would be on the inside of the legs.

Blender
Imported into Blender. Created a cone+cylinder to cut out the riding figure, extended it to flat in the back to make it easier to insert/remove figure. Created a cylinder/disc for the figure to stand on.
Stretched out the hind legs so they would touch the base. Subdivided the base edge to give it a rounder shape, then narrowed it to an oval. Reduced the base's thickness.Sliced it in half, by creating a large cube to contain the wolf, then subdividing it vertically. Selected one half of the large cube, and "P" allows you to separate the selection of an object into a new object. (You'll need to add internal faces to each half.) For those two blocks, boolean intersection with the wolf model (carve).
