Modular Battle Tops

Let these tops rip in a non-trademark infringing fashion!

Disclaimer first:

Ok first thing, up front, be safe with these! If you stick them in an arena to fight, know that these are whatever material you print them out of and they will do what that material does when it collides at high speeds. I printed mine out of PETG and like how they look so much that I haven't tested them in combat yet but still expect them to shatter at the pointy bits when they make contact, especially The Shredder. Use eye protection at the very least.

With that out of the way, I designed these to use 4x 9.5mm (3/8") bearing balls as the weight for maintaining a spin, as the locking mechanism to hold the handle and base together while keeping the ring in place and as the nose to spin on. Tolerances are based on my Prusa Mini. 0.3mm Gaps for the fitting the parts together and 9.7mm spheres for setting the bearings in.

I included the blank ring I used as a base for the other ring designs in case you want to design your own.

Once assembled you should be able to wiggle the two halves loose with some patience if you want to swap parts out.

I'm printing on a PEI coated bed and my PETG wasn't moving come hell or high water so I didn't need any supports. Considering how little contact the handle and base have, you may need a brim depending on your print surface. I used 6 perimeters when slicing mine to give it some meat and make them harder to damage. 0.2mm layer height.

As for performance I didn't expect them to be as stable as they are considering infill just does its thing in the slicer.
