Description
I wanted to build a 100 percent 3d printed robot that could move and have moving feet, arms and guns. So I started with the windup bunny by gzumwalt. I had to make a lot of changes for the new mass and actions by changing the spring and gear ratio. Besides being able to make the working wind up robot 100 percent 3d printed I also made a version that uses rubber O rings on the drive wheels instead of printing flexible TPU traction tires and a version with a clear dome on top of the head that used a 40mm ornament dome. Notes:
Use care when gluing the parts, use a lube to help keep things from sticking that you do not want stuck. Special thank you to gzumwalt for his fun designs in the world of windup PLA projects !rnBuild tip. I printed things like the gears and axles at 0.15 and the body parts at 0.2 layer.rnI updated the Body Left file on 2/8/2019 .rnThe feet are designed as hollow to keep weight down. If you run them threw a STL program to fix errors you will turn them solid, not good. But if you do turn them solid then just set the infill to some low setting like 5. They will slice and print fine as is.
