Description

What is this thing?

This is a box for the board game called: Ghost Blitz (aka Geistes Blitz).

Why did you make it?

If you happen to have the board game, then you probably have a rather large box that is mostly empty space. This new box allows you to pack the game into a box that is 130x130x40mm - which is good enough for me to add toss in my backpack when i'm taking the kids out.

OpenSCAD Notes:

MAINCODE - this is where i call the modules that render the lid, or lowerbox.

VARIABLES - innerbox_lid_tolerance - this is the variable that provides some buffering between the lid size and the lower box section. 0.35mm all the way around the edges is what the STLs were created for a loose fit lid.

Lid module - you can comment out the "load_title_image" module if you want a solid lid. if you choose to keep cutout in the lid, make sure the title.png is in the same folder as your openSCAD code.

General Notes:

The box fits the game pieces with room to spare, so it can be a bit noisy. I added some stick-on felt to absorb the noise when traveling.
