Description

I made these boxes to store cards for the splendid "Nat's what I reckon - YEAH NAH board game, but they are easily adapted to suit any other game.

You can find files for the game TOKENS on the attached .3mf file or download STLs HERE.

Print in vase mode - if you forget to do that you will end up with very strange thick wall shapes which won't serve any purpose!

I have printed these with a 0.6mm nozzle because I like the slightly thicker walls over a 0.4mm but either will work (don't forget to reduce the lid diameter by 0.4mm if you are printing in a smaller nozzle.)

I'd recommend changing the dimensions in your slicer.   Here's how to do that using PrusaSlicer and the attached .3mf file:

Because we are printing in VASE mode, we can only have one model on the plate at a time.

After exporting each model to print, simply drag the next onto the plate and repeat the process.

CARD BOX

IMPORTANT - Before making any of the adjustments below, click on the lock icon to make sure you can edit each of the “scale factors” independently.

For this game, the cards are a approximately 65 x 90mm - I have printed them with about a millimetre tolerance so change the X & Y values to match your card size as follows - I suggest for each dimension CARD DIMENSION + (2 x Nozzle diameter) + 1mm .

Print a centimetre or so and stop your print to check that it all fits nicely if you wish.

You can adjust the overall height of your box by changing the “Z” Value

CARD BOX LID

The lid file provided has been adjusted to provide about 0.4mm tolerance which is quite a sloppy fit but if you don't change anything will work well.

If you are making a custom size - adjust the dimensions to something like CARD BOX LENGTH (OR WIDHTH) + (2 x Nozzle diameter) + 0.4mm and all should be well.   A little trial and error won't waste much time or filament.

You can adjust the overall height of your lid by changing the “Z” Value - if you prefer a loose fit, a longer overlap works better.

THE GAME IN QUESTION.
If you don't want to go to all that bother, you can buy the game in digital form too. (I have no affiliation but here's a link anyway)
