Description
This is my own printed version of the open origami umbrella. It can also be a fidget toy to play on your desk and a perfect test for a great first layer of your printer!!!
I include .stl , .3mf and .gcode files for all parts. All printed fine in PLA.
If you use attached *.3mf files you will find the following settings for printing:
Umbrella Panel
Designed to be printed at 0.2 mm layer.
Important!! You must use “Octagram Spiral” pattern for bottom fill so that panel is not broken when folded. I also used “Aligned Rectiliniar” patter for top fill.
Handle
Printed at 0.15 mm layer with supports.
End Top and Shaft
Printed at 0.15 mm layer and 3 mm brim
Filament:
Smarfil Black, Red and Brown
Once printed remove all brims with a cutter.
Parts only need to be press fitted (In case any part is loose you can use a small drop of glue)
Follow the next instructions (see photos)
1.- Press fit Handle and Shaft
2.- Fit through Umbrella Panel and press fit End Top
3.- Carefully start bending the panel by the marks. I do reccomend to start by the exterior and do not completely fold each mark in one step. If you make several iterations the result will be perfect as shown in the photos.
4.- Any comment, question or doubt please ask!
5.- Please share your make!
