Description
This is a blend of two models: Dwayne the Rock Johnson's head and an Octopus. I made it with the intent to print out of TPU.
I used Blender to chop and combine the two models (badly, I might add … in that it is not a "clean" STL file and there are a few things I want to change). I'm sort of new to Blender so keep that in mind. My cura threw up model errors, but it still sliced and I could print.
I'm calling this v1.0 because I “intend” to clean up the model … cough, cough …
There are other versions of the Rocktopus out there, but they are articulated - I wanted one I could toss around and not worry about something cracking or breaking.
I printed on an Anycubic Vyper. Here were my settings:
This was printed from a spool of Overture TPU which I had just recently dried. I didn't have a fancy dryer - I just placed the spool in an electric oven set to “Warm” (so less than 200-deg F) for about and hour and a half, then I turned off the heat and let it cool back down before printing (about another hour). Seemed to work out OK - good enough for my purposes.
