Description
For an event I was involved in, we needed about 15 toy horses made quickly and cheaply, so I created this design that uses one or two sheets of laser-cut plywood.
If you don't have a laser cutter at hand, I've also included a template you can print out on an A3 or 11” × 17” printer and cut it out with a jigsaw.
This is also a superb project that you can get done in a couple of hours together with a group of kids, where everyone can get their own toy horse.
If you use two sheets, you can glue in a mane out of yarn in between. Preferably you do this after you've painted the horse head to your liking and let it dry.
For the body of the horse (the stick), we used 45x45mm wood beams that we cut a slot in where the plywood sheets glued in and we also shaped the tip a bit nicer.
