Description
This is a counter for board games. It has a geneva wheel so that the tens only increase/decrease for every full revolution of the ones.
No painting is required as the number wheels are printed with a color change. It comes with a blank lid and a Magic the Gathering themed lid. The MTG lid is three separate printable parts that snap into each other.
Assembly
There are small markings on the driven wheel and the rotate gear that should be pointing upward in the same direction as the slot in the base for the control wheel The pin on the drive wheel should also be pointing in the same direction.
Then the number wheels can be placed with the ones facing each other. This should make the turn over of the tens work correctly.
I was inspired by this design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1290507 and used this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lyWywC_z4o&list=PLesQLkhjLBixsTIFn8w_5SwD1vzHMAKXb&index=3&t=724s to design it in Fusion 360 which turned out to be a fun printing project.
