This pinball machine that has the following features:
Easy-to-print pieces that interconnect into one another
These instructions assume you will be using PrusaSlicer and can proficiently use it. If you use some different slicer, follow along to the best of your ability.
You will need the additional products:
seven rubber bands of size 8 (aka pretty small rubber bands. you'll know if yours are properly sized as you follow along.)
a hot glue gun
super glue
Once you have all this, note the following:
Everything (except for the spinner, divider and ball) should be printed with .28mm layer height ( .3mm first layer) in PLA
The spinner, divider and ball should be printed in .12mm layer height to ensure as much spin and roundness as possible with a 0.4mm nozzle. If you have a smaller sized nozzle, use that if you'd like.
To assemble everything, please read the following instructions FIRST and then follow along:
Print everything (minus the ball) out once.
Print the bumper pin two more times (for a total of 3 bumper pins) and print the pusher pin one more time (for a total of 2 pusher pins)
Before printing out the ball, slice the model in half horizontally and rotate the bottom half 180 degrees so the flat half is touching the bed. Once this is done, print it.
Now that everything is printed out, plug in everything as shown in the pictures provided.
Take one rubber band and bend it so you have two loops. Put the two loops onto the two launcher pins
Take another rubber band and place it on the outside of the three top-left pins so they come together like some weird triangular boxing ring. Make sure the caps are facing up so the rubber band doesn't come loose. Take a second rubber band and repeat the process as the previous one, except that now you will place it higher than the first one along the top-left pins
See the photo provided of how you should wind up the flipper mechanisms.
Lastly, apply hot glue where necessary to make your pinball machine as sturdy as possible but avoid leaving any residue in the play area as this might cause your ball to get stuck. BUT DON'T GLUE YOUR SPINNER AND DIVIDER. Those can stay loose to ensure rotation. And of course, put a drop of super glue on the two halves of your ball and stick them together.
Before you know it, you'll be all set to start playing!
