Description
It's always nice to have some dice in reach when gaming, but its also nice to have them sorted and well organized for a smooth gameplay. But organizers and trays tend to use up a lot of space, so I made this nested hexagonal tray. You can use the base tray on its own or add up to three smaller trays. If you want to go big, you can even add six smaller trays around the base tray.
On the inside you can fit three smaller trays, making it more compact when not in use. The smaller trays get connected with a double dovetail that fits either side of the tray wall.
There is also some space to add 2mm liner material (in this case foam, but leather, cork, felt or fabric will work as well). With a 2mm liner, the top edge of the base tray and the small trays line up, without the smaller trays sit a bit lower.
I made two versions. The regular one with some engraving around the walls. And a plain version without those details.
All parts fit on a Prusa Mini.
UPDATE New Parts: I made a stackable version. This version is a bit higher to fit the dice completely and the corners are raised to prevent stacked trays from sliding apart. They come in 3 versions, a blank a futuristic hex patterned and a medieval castle looking one.
2nd UPDATE: I also made the SciFi engraving of the non stackable version as a stackable version. And I got asked for a lid, so I made a simple thin lid to click on the stackable versions corners.
Disclaimer: The dice in the pictures are my own creation, if you're interested in that, check out my Instagram profile and contact me there. Same for print on demand. I don't have a shop and do commissions and print on demand as my time allows.
